“All men of whatever race, condition or age, in virtue of their dignity as human persons, have an inalienable right to education.” (GE, 1 – Gravissimum educationis).

“Education is, in a very special way, the concern of the Church, not only because the Church must be recognized as a human society capable of imparting education, but especially because it has the duty of proclaiming the way of salvation to all men, of revealing the life of Christ to those who believe, and of assisting them with unrelenting care so that they may be able to attain the fullness of that life.” (GE, 3).

After seeing the importance of education as a primary concern of the Church, the Sto. Nino de Paz Community (Greenbelt Chapel) especially where the laity can get more involved, emphasis is given to the imparting of this important role to play in the education of the community and servants alike.

Thus, Greenbelt Chapel has created the Education Ministry. The hierarchy of the Sto. Nino de Paz Community has entrusted to the Education Ministry the function of some aspects of the needed religious formation and information of the community and servants to achieve salvation and attain the fullness of life.

The Education Ministry of the Greenbelt Chapel has three (3) service groups to be able to execute its functions:

  • Formation Group – handles retreats, recollections, Lenten pilgrimages, vocation campaigns, basic orientations for new servants, on-going formations, seminars and 3rd Wednesday talks.
  • Information Group – handles the designs, layout, printing and photographs of the newsletter (Greenleaf), daily mass announcements, collaterals, archiving of documents, and bulletin boards.
  • Information Technology Group – handles the information posted on the website including announcements, different service groups, various activities and events, photographs, and other related functions for the development of the chapel’s official website. It also handles the creation of the audio-visual presentations (AVPs) for special occasions of the chapel.
